If you ask my wife, there are two kinds of people in this world: Those that can't stand to watch a movie more than once, and those that revel in it!
I am definitely part of the latter group. The sad part is, some of these movies have less than a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It varies from nostalgia factor, to simply one scene in the entire movie that left an impression on me, to the casual "hmm... I haven't seen *Blank* in a while." While I'm not proud to admit this, below is my top 10 most re-watched movies. (Keep in mind, just about every movie on this list is from the 80's and 90's cause there hasn't been enough time for these newer movies to catch up... ask me again in 15 years.)
1. "Pulp Fiction" (1994) - I've literally watched this movie at least 6 times a year since 1999.
2. "The Sandlot" (1993) - "You're killing me, Smalls!" is still very much quoted by me today.
3. "Speed" (1994) - There's just something about "Arizona Wildcats" that still resonates with me.
4. "Independence Day (1996) - That President's speech! I mean... *tear*... it just gets me every time!
5. "My Cousin Vinny" (1992) - Who among us hasn't said the "How can you be so sure?" in a New York Accent?
6. "The Lion King" (1994) - Okay, can we all just agree that 1994 was possibly the greatest year in film ever?
7. "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" (1991) - I can't even begin to count how many quotable lines are in this film.
8. "The Big Lebowski" (1998) - To this day, I still giggle a little every time I walk through a rug section in a store.
9. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986) - For the longest time I thought "Danke Shoen" was sung by a woman!
10. "Jurassic Park" (1993) - Why is Timmy just standing there!?!?!?!? GET THE GUN!!!!
What movies do you just keep watching Over and over again?
